Another character battle contest is in the books!

 

Despite the low turnout for the contest (7 total, tied for lowest ever), this was still quite a lot of fun, and I hope you all had fun being part of it. So let’s not waste any time and just get right to the results.

The final battle was the most voted-on battle in the contest, as is usually the case, and it was tight the whole way through.

 

For the first time in ANY contest, all 7 participants had their overall champions in play for the final battle. Five had Aloy, and two had Sylens. And it was closely fought all the way through. With just over an hour to go, it was tied, and I was starting to think that this contest was going to be decided on d20s. But in the final hour, someone broke the tie.

With a final tally of 9-8, Aloy wins Character Battle 21: Horizon!

 

And with 5 people having Aloy as their predicted champions, that tightened up the scores. They’ve all been checked, and I can now announce the winners.

 

Our 3rd place winner is no stranger to these contests. She’s participated in 18 of them, most of anyone ever. With Joshie (aka C&T, or Clidus) sitting out this one, she broke the tie with him for most appearances. This is also the first time she’s finished in the top 3. Winning the 3rd place prize of $25, with a record of 50-13 and 3075 points, it’s Veronica (aka AnxiousDoe)!

This is the 4th contest overall for our 2nd place winner, and also the first time she’s made the podium as well. Finishing with a record of 51-12 and 3550 points, our winner of the $50 prize is Dejah!

Our champion is no stranger to the podium. This is his 6th contest overall, and in that span, he's been pretty damn good: he won the very first contest he entered (CB14) and has only missed the podium once. Today he joins the small group of people who have won more than one Character Battle contest. Finishing with a 54-9 record, and 3800 points, our champion for a second time: Gabriel!
